TaxWise Web has 2 modes of returns:

  • Form-Based: Where you generate the forms you need to file manually and enter the information.

  • Interview: A mode that generates forms based on the answers you provide

    When you log into the software, you can start a new return by clicking New Return from the main screen, or open an existing return:

You’ll be asked to enter the Social Security Number, then choose from the 2 modes by clicking Tax Forms for the Form-based mode and Go to interview for interview mode.

 

1- Tax Forms:

Enter the basic information required, and if you see a red exclamation point next to any form on the left side, go the highlighted forms and complete your data-entry.

  • To add a new form, click the plus icon on the left side.

  • To remove an existing form, select it by clicking it, then click the minus icon on the left side.

 

When done, run Diagnostics from the tool-bar buttons above:

If you find this mode hard to deal with, you can switch to the Interview Mode from the Switch to Interview button. You can also add notes, initiate an e-Signature request from the buttons on the same tool-bar.

 

2- Interview Mode:

Interview Mode allows you to populate forms by answering simple questions. You can move to the next page of questions by either navigating from the left-side menu or clicking Next.

When done, you can either go to the Finish page, or you’ll be directed to it automatically when you answer all the questions, by clicking Next after finishing each page.
