1040-SR (Desktop) | How to Copy Configuration to a New Computer

If you want to take the current configuration to a new computer, follow the steps below:

Current/Old Computer:

 

  1. Plug in a USB flash drive, and from the Main Menu, go to Configuration

 

2. Go to Configuration Utilities

3. Go to Copy Configuration to Disk

4. Choose the flash drive from the left side, and when done, click Save

 

New Computer (after applying the steps above):

  1. From the Main Menu, go to Configuration

     

  2. Go to Configuration Utilities

     

  3. From the Configuration Utilities Menu, select Restore Configuration from Disk

  4. Go to Choose Location Manually

5. Choose the flash drive from the left side, then click Open
