1040-SR (Desktop) | How to Change Preparation Fees on a Tax Return
Your billing scheme’s previously determined fees are the ones that show on tax returns by default. If you’d like to change fees on every single return, the right way to do this is to change the default fees. To do so, refer to this article below:

But in case you’d like to change the fees on an individual tax return, follow the steps below:
While on the tax return you’d like to change the fees for, go to the Receipt Menu by clicking Exit on the top left side
2. Choose The Preparation Fee then enter your new amount.
If you are unable to modify the fees on the Receipt Menu, ensure the Invoice is not locked. To check this, select:
View/Edit Invoice
Lock Fees on Invoice - set to NO
Try steps 1 or 2 again.
