(For most Windows installations the Start menu is in the lower-left corner of Windows.)

  • Go to the TaxSlayer Pro folder for the program year you need to restore:
For example, if you’re trying to restore the shortcut of TaxSlayer 2020, follow the steps below:
    1. Go to This PC
    2. Open the C drive
(or the drive where the software is installed. In most cases, it’s the C drive)
    3. Open TaxSlayer

  • Open 20xxNET
(for example, if you want 2020, open 2020Net)

  • Find TaxProgram (or TaxProgram.exe)
(there might be several files with the same name. You should find the one that is a runable application. It usually looks like this)

  • Right click > Send to > Desktop (shortcut)

2. Changing the Logo on the Desktop

  • Right-click TaxProgram on the desktop > Properties

  • Go to Shortcut > Change Icon
